Reviews of Our Montclair Physical Therapy Practice

Tiffany developed a program that challenges me to get stronger and more flexible, while Deniz’s expertise in acupuncture and cupping gives me the peace of mind to push hard through each workout. I’ve been to a few different physical therapists before, but none compare to the service I get from the staff at Clifton Physical Therapy.

– Stephanie L.

Tiffany and the staff are amazing!  Professional and knowledgeable. Definitely helping me with my back, neck, and shoulder pain. I love acupuncture with Deniz! Looking forward to my next visit.

– Mary V.

Such an amazing place. They really help what’s injured but also help strengthen your other muscles. Everyone who works there are great people and are really helpful from the front desk to the physical therapists. Highly recommend getting PT here.

If you’ve ever had plantar fasciitis before, you are all too familiar with the agony of wondering, “when will this pain go away?”

Plantar fasciitis is an inflammation of the band of tissue, known as plantar fascia, that supports the arch of your foot. It feels like a bruise or ache and the pain tends to be worse in the morning.

Plantar fasciitis will last for much longer than you want if you don’t seek treatment. 95% of people with plantar fasciitis are able to recover within 6 months.

It might seem like a long time but it’s important to head to your physical therapist once you start to experience pain to start a plan of action immediately in order to recover faster.

If you dread starting your day and doing simple everyday activities like walking your dog or bending down to pick up something, know that you’re not alone.

Most adults will experience some form of lower back pain in their lifetime, even your favorite celebrities.

Usain Bolt, eight-time Olympic gold medalist and dubbed the “𝘧𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘭𝘥,” suffered from scoliosis. Bolt has said that the “s” curve in his spine has made his right leg half an inch shorter than his left.

Can you believe that? He was able to overcome his pain and win the gold with 𝗽𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗽𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘀.

You don’t need to let chronic back pain be your antagonist in your life’s story.

You can accomplish great things by addressing that pain and working towards eliminating it.

Chronic back pain can be caused by a number of things from arthritis of the spine to disc problems such as a herniated disc or bulging disc.

Iᴛ’s ᴀʟᴍᴏsᴛ ᴛʜᴇ sᴛᴀʀᴛ ᴏ Iᴛ’s ᴀʟᴍᴏsᴛ ᴛʜᴇ sᴛᴀʀᴛ ᴏғ 2021! A Nᴇᴡ Yᴇᴀʀ ᴍᴇᴀɴs ɴᴇᴡ ʙᴇɢɪɴɴɪɴɢs ᴀɴᴅ ᴛʜᴇ sᴛᴀʀᴛ ᴛᴏ ᴀ BETTER YOU!

2020 threw us all in a loop and you might have not been able to complete your 2020 resolutions. Remember that’s okay. 𝐸𝑎𝑐ℎ 𝑑𝑎𝑦 𝑖𝑠 𝑎 𝑐ℎ𝑎𝑛𝑐𝑒 𝑡𝑜 𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑟𝑡 𝑎𝑔𝑎𝑖𝑛.

Many of us have a goal to 𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐰𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭, 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐞𝐱𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐫 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫. These are wonderful resolutions, but they need to be REALISTIC!

With our health being put in the front of our minds, it’s a good reason to make 2021 goals about taking care of your well-being for the long-term. 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐢𝐩𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞:

𝐒𝐞𝐭 𝐬𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐠𝐨𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞:
If you need to lose 50 lbs to be at a healthy weight, don’t make your target 50lbs. Set a goal of 5-10lb loss first.

This is a much more attainable goal and once you find you CAN lose the weight you’re much more likely to stick with your resolution!

If you’re trying to eat healthier it’s very difficult to get up one day and change your diet completely.

𝐁𝐞 𝐒𝐏𝐄𝐂𝐈𝐅𝐈𝐂: Don’t make your resolution, “𝐼 𝑤𝑎𝑛𝑡 𝑡𝑜 𝑙𝑜𝑠𝑒 𝑤𝑒𝑖𝑔ℎ𝑡.” That’s too broad. Set a specific weight or inches to lose so you know exactly what you’re working towards.

𝐒𝐞𝐭 𝐚 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞/𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞: Set a clear time and date or a plan for your goals. We set goals for our patients to reach their benchmarks all of the time. A clear plan will help you keep on track and succeed.

𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐢𝐭 𝐚 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: If you’re an athlete, this is the way to go. If you want to increase your speed by .3 seconds, each day make it like a game to push past your limits the day before.

Whatever goals you set for the new year; our team is here to help you achieve them. If it’s weight loss, we offer a training program to get you the RESULTS you’re looking for.

If your goal is to run faster for your sport, our sport-specific training program will work on preventing injury and getting you to your goals.
